Custodian/Janitor – Part Time – Temp to Hire – Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 11:00am or 8:00a to Noon

Daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility. This position not only ensures the facility is clean but also ensures it is safe as well. This position is part time and will report to the Facility Manager.

• Restrooms
o Clean and disinfect counter tops, wash basins. Toilets, toilet seats and urinals
o Clean and disinfect all dispensers, fixtures and mirrors
o Empty trash
o Empty sanitary napkin receptacle and disinfect
o Spot clean partitions and tile walls
o Restock hand soap and paper products
o Disinfect partition handles, door handles and light switches
o Clean and sanitize outside of dispensers and trash receptacles
o Polish dispensers, fixtures and mirrors
o Sweep and thoroughly mop floor
o High Dust (weekly)
o Removal of biohazard bags

• General (Offices, Entrances, Conference Rooms, Hallways and Common Areas)
o Dust/clean horizontal surfaces- desk, credenza, counter, file cabinet tops, etc.
o Entrance doors and internal glass partitions cleaned of fingerprints and smudges
o Clean and sanitize drinking fountains
o Empty trash
o Disinfect all telephone receivers and dust phone bases
o Disinfect light switches, light switch plate covers and door handles
o Walls cleaned of fingerprints and smudges
o Polish drinking fountains
o Wipe out and keep clean the eye wash station basins
o Vacuum and mop floors
o High Dusting (weekly)
o Low Dusting (weekly)
o Furniture- vacuum fabric and wipe down other surfaces (weekly)

• Breakrooms
o Counters and table tops cleaned
o Fronts of counters and chairs cleaned
o Sinks cleaned
o Outside of refrigerator and microwave wiped down
o Empty trash
o Table bases and chair legs cleaned
o Inside microwave cleaned
o Floors moped

o Vacuum, sweep or dust mop all hard surface floors
o Vacuum all carpeted traffic areas
o Thoroughly mop all hard surface floors
o Remove spots and small spills from carpet
o Wall to wall vacuuming of carpeted areas (weekly)
o Dust baseboards (weekly)

• Other duties as assigned.

Working Environment and Physical Demands:
• Standing entire shift
• Lift up to 25-50 lbs.
• Bending and stooping throughout shift
• Must be able to lift, push and pull materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Candidate must be reliable, dependability is a critical function of this role
• Previous experience preferred
• Must have attention to detail
• Must have good communication skills
