Molder/Core Maker –  Temp to Hire – Monday through Thursday – 5:00 am to 3:30 pm

Entry Level Qualifications and Requirements

• Basic math skills
• Must have the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. repetitively (employees are encouraged to seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs. and ensure assistance is readily available).
• Work in or near extremes in temperatures and dusty environment
• Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
• Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, and work well with others
• Must perform other duties as assigned

Classification Level A

• Encompasses all duties, responsibilities, and skills of B and C levels
• Able to independently train others within this position on all classifications listed below
• Capable of performing all job functions without supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Capable of properly calibrating each mixer
• Demonstrates high proficiency in both production and quality

Classification Level B

• Encompasses all duties, responsibilities, and skills of C-level
• Capable of understanding a mold or core production schedule
• Capable of identifying pattern equipment/tooling
• The ability to operate and perform required daily general maintenance on mixers
• Understands how each mixer functions as it pertains to the sand/binder and iron oxides
• Demonstrates proficiency in both production and quality
• Knowledgeable and proficient at mold closing and core assembly operations

Classification Level C

• Possesses the knowledge of the various mold and core making equipment
• Comprehends the processes and procedures of mold and core making
• Capable of identifying pattern and core equipment
• Capable of performing basic mold and core making tasks
• The ability to set up the pattern equipment as designated by the process instructions sheets
• The ability to operate cranes
