Pouring/Shake Out – Temp to Hire – Monday through Thursday – 5:00 pm to 3:30am – possible overtime and Saturday

Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills:

Classification Level A

• Encompasses all duties, responsibilities and skills of B & C level

• Able to independently train others within this position on all classifications listed below

• The ability to work with no instruction

• Demonstrates high proficiency in both production and quality

Classification Level B

• Encompasses all duties, responsibilities & skills of C level

• The ability to work with minimal instruction

• Assist in training & mentoring of others within this position on C level classification items

• Responsible for segregating and tagging of hold heats

• Ability to ensure all totes have proper traveler affixed by part number

• Demonstrates proficiency in both production and quality

• Ability to recognize and report problems with equipment

Classification Level C

• Ability to properly prepare molds prior to pouring of heat

• Ability to properly prepare molds for shakeout process

• Ability to take and pour test samples from the ladle stream

• Must follow LOTO procedures to carry out routine and general cleanup of the shakeout machine

• Capable of assisting with all aspects of the pouring of a heat

• Capable of segregating castings by part # as they are removed from shakeout

• Possesses the knowledge to operate equipment properly

Requirements

• Basic math skills (counting, addition, multiplication)

• Must have the ability to repetitively lift up to 100 lbs. (employees are encouraged to seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs. and assistance is readily available.)

• Work in or near extremes in temperatures and dusty environment

• Work in proximity of molten metal and sparks for duration of shift

• Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner

• High school diploma or its equivalent

• Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English

• Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others

• Must perform other duties as assigned
