Shipping/Receiving Assistant– Temp to Hire position – Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm – possible overtime/weekends

The Shipping and Receiving Assistant is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining an organized shipping and receiving environment, both in office and warehouse. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
  • Responsible for accurately retrieving and loading all customer pickup orders
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
  • Assist with inventory management including regular stock checks and updates
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently (forklift certification required upon hire)
  • Address any customer pickup or receiving issues promptly
  • Establish a culture of open communication and problem solving with a positive attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, such as packing slips and purchase orders
  • Technology proficiency including using a computer, tablet, and managing files and records electronically

Physical Requirements:

This position performs heavily physical tasks that may include lifting up to 60 pounds. Work is performed inside and outside of our manufacturing facility. Exposure to normal manufacturing processes requires the use of proper personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety glasses, uniform, and steel toe boots.
