Appraiser Assistant – Temp Hire position – Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Job duties include but are not limited to: Onsite property reviews including measuring, gathering data, noting any property issues or updates, updating photos, and talking to property owners; Handling protests; Answering questions regarding properties and/or other aspects of the office, etc.

Work is performed outdoors as much as possible in varying conditions, including temperature variations, humidity extremes, possible adverse weather conditions, dirt/dust/mud, moderate to loud noises, offensive fumes, possible exposure to mechanical/electrical hazards, and unfriendly pets. At times, office work is required to input data from reviews.

Work requires physical activity, walking/moving about, standing/remaining upright, as well as occasional stooping, bending, crawling, climbing, and reaching. The employee must possess the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate/manipulate equipment (e.g., use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls), as well as occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective organization and processing of detailed information/data; Interpersonal communication and customer service skills; Ability to understand and follow instructions in English; Ability to read and understand directions, manuals, and standard operating procedures in English; Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor; Ability to work under pressure and/or frequent interruptions; Ability to handle stressful situations; Ability to prioritize work and carry out assigned projects to completion; Ability to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing (Spanish a plus); Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public.
