Front Desk Receptionist – Temp to Hire position – Monday- Thursday 9:15am-6:15pm and Fridays 8:15am-5:15pm
Very busy and growing PT/OT clinic looking for a Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist. Looking for a positive, outgoing, compassionate team member to help impact their clinic and give their patients an amazing customer service experience. This individual must have a passion for teamwork and a vision of success. This position works side by side with their current front desk receptionist most of the day. This position has very set hours Monday – Thursday 9:15am-6:15pm (1 hour lunch) and Fridays 8:15am-5:15pm (1 hour lunch). Hours are non-negotiable. This individual will be in charge of closing the clinic Monday through Friday.
Patient Care Coordination Duties –
- Answers phones, takes and relays messages in a professional and timely manner.
- Schedules patients for services to assure they complete plan of care visits. Calls and reminds patients of appointment times as necessary to assure appointments are kept. Assures missed appointments are rescheduled.
- Communicates with patients clearly explaining the clinic’s practices for insurance, co-payments, and scheduling appointments.
- Calls insurance companies before each patient’s first visit to verify their insurance coverage. Communicates insurance benefits and collects payments as indicated.
- Meets with patients on their first visit to assure all necessary paperwork is completed before treatment begins and accurately inputs all patient data.
- Performs other office support work for staff as needed.
- Assures compliance with Federal / Medicare guidelines and company compliance policies assists with paperwork for obtaining authorizations,
- Tracks daily and weekly stats for clinicians
- Contacts patients who have missed appointments
- Completes all front desk closing duties to ensure smooth transition to next day.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strengths needed: Responsible, Organized, Ability to Multi-Task, Detail Oriented, Very Personable, Excellent Customer Service Skills, Service Oriented Personality, Compassionate, Persuasive, Basic Financial Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or college level business courses preferred.
- Prefer Two previous years’ previous experience in a medical office, customer service, or other related business where strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills were required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills including: Word, Excel
- Sit/Stand desks with Standing over 50% of the day
- Physically able to assist patients as needed in and out of clinic & regularly lift over 25#
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment
