Saw Operator and Shipping/Receiving Assistant– Temp to Hire position – Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm – possible overtime/weekends

Run Marvel Saw
– Safely operate the Marvel saw, ensuring it is set up and adjusted correctly for each specific cutting job
according to the specifications and material requirements
– Conduct pre-operation checks, including inspecting the saw for proper blade alignment, secure
mounting, and lubrication to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation
– Set the appropriate cutting parameters, including feed rate, speed, and cutting depth, based on the
type and size of the material being processed
– Monitor the operation of the saw throughout the cutting process, making necessary adjustments as
needed to maintain accurate cuts and ensure optimal performance
– Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), maintaining
a clear work area, and ensuring that all safety guards and mechanisms are in place during operation
– Inspect cut materials for accuracy and quality, ensuring that cuts meet specified measurements and
tolerances, and make any necessary corrections if errors are detected

– Receive, inspect, and verify raw materials for quality and quantity upon arrival, ensuring they meet the
required specifications and are free from defects or damage
– Properly store raw materials in designated areas, ensuring they are organized by type, size, and
specification, and are easily accessible
– Ensure raw materials are properly labeled and categorized, making it easier to identify the correct
material for each job and reducing the risk of error
– Organize and prioritize materials according to production schedules, ensuring that high-priority orders
are processed first and that materials are available when needed
– Assist in organizing and maintaining the material storage area, ensuring that it remains clean,
organized, and compliant with all safety regulations

The Shipping and Receiving Assistant is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining an organized shipping and receiving environment, both in office and warehouse. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
• Responsible for accurately retrieving and loading all customer pickup orders
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Assist with inventory management including regular stock checks and updates
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently (forklift certification required upon hire)
• Address any customer pickup or receiving issues promptly
• Establish a culture of open communication and problem solving with a positive attitude.
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

This position performs heavily physical tasks that may include lifting up to 60 pounds. Work is performed inside and outside of our manufacturing facility. Exposure to normal manufacturing processes requires the use of proper personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety glasses, uniform, and steel toe boots.
